The source of this index is a file of obituary clippings that have been taken from various newspapers. The file is maintained by the Tillamook County Pioneer Museum. The Obituary Index contains the following information: last name, first name, middle initial, date of death, year of death, date of birth, year of birth, place of birth, spouse name, maiden name, father’s name, mother’s name. Not all information is available for every obituary. There may be more than one obituary listing for a particular individual. This may occur because an obituary was printed in more than one newspaper, or a corrected obituary was printed by a newspaper. No corrections or modifications were made to names, dates, places, etc. They appear in the index as they were printed in the newspaper.The Obituary Index has been divided alphabetically by last name into separate files for faster loading, viewing and searching.
